Slideout Wraps help your RV stay more comfortable and appliances run more efficiently.

Why You Need Slideout Wraps

RV owners purchase many things to live comfortably and efficiently. For instance, RVers need wheel chocks, sewage hoses, pressure regulators, RV Skirting, surge protectors, and emergency supplies. So, why do you need slideout wraps?

As an RVer, you know that enjoying your home year-round requires proper preparation. One crucial aspect is protecting your RV’s slideouts. These movable sections of your RV are particularly vulnerable to the harsh elements of the seasons, such as snow, ice, freezing temperatures, and heat. That’s where slideout wraps come into play.

In this post, we’ll delve into the importance of slideout wraps for RV owners. We’ll discuss how these protective coverings can safeguard your slideouts, improve energy efficiency, and enhance your overall winter camping experience. So, let’s dive in and discover why you need slideout wraps.

What are Slideout Wraps?

Slideout Wraps are a great way of insulating thin slideout walls. The Skirting Co's slideout wraps have an R-7 Insulation Value.

Slideout wraps are a protective barrier designed to shield your RV’s slideouts from the elements. Constructed with the same high-quality materials as our R-7 Insulated Skirting, our wraps offer exceptional durability and weather resistance.

The material is flame retardant, UV-protected, mold, and mildew resistant, ensuring a long-lasting performance. The wraps feature six layers, including four layers of durable foam insulation, providing superior protection and insulation for your slideouts.

Why Slideout Wraps are Essential for Winter RVing

Protection From the Elements

Many campers have thin slideout walls. These walls are not what you want exposed to the elements. This is why many manufacturers offer slideout awnings, or covers, as optional upgrades.

Slideout wraps aim to shield your slides from the snow, ice, heat, and freezing temperatures. When installed correctly, our wraps do not interfere with the slideout mechanism or seals, ensuring smooth operation and long-lasting performance.

Energy Efficiency

The thin walls of RV slideouts can allow heat to escape in cold weather and enter in warm weather, leading to increased energy consumption.

Slideout wraps help to address this issue by acting as an insulation barrier. During cold weather, they help to retain heat inside the RV, reducing the need for heating. In warm weather, they help to block the sun’s rays, keeping the interior cooler and reducing the reliance on air conditioning. By improving energy efficiency, slideout wraps can help RV owners save money on propane and electricity.

Comfort and Convenience

Whether you’re camping in the sweltering heat or the frigid cold, slideout wraps can help you and your family stay comfortable. By providing added insulation and protection from the elements, the wraps create a more pleasant and enjoyable RVing experience.

Our slideout wraps are designed for quick and easy installation using heavy-duty adhesive Velcro. If you order RV skirting and our professional installation service, we’ll install the wraps for you at no additional cost, ensuring a hassle-free experience.

Choosing the Right Slideout Wraps

To ensure a proper fit for your wraps, accurate measurements are essential. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

  • Measure the vertical height: Determine the height of your slideout from the bottom to the top.
  • Measure the horizontal length: Measure the horizontal distance between the edges of the slideout.
  • Calculate the total length: Add the vertical height and horizontal length measurements. Divide by 12 and then round up to the nearest whole number.
  • Determine the width: Measure the width of your slideout from the RV’s wall to the parallel wall of the slideout.
  • Final Measurement: Use the length and width measurements from the earlier steps to determine your final measurements for your purchase. Do this for each slideout you want wrapped.

By following these steps, you can ensure that your wraps are the correct size and provide optimal protection for your RV.
